The SAI Micro Cannula is designed for easy entry into the smallest blood vessels of mice and rats. The over-the-needle catheter has a beveled tip and sharpened stylet facilitate easy access into the vessel. A movable securement bead allows for anchoring the catheter in the vessel to guard against premature removal. This catheter is perfect for the carotid artery, jugular vein, and femoral vein or artery in small rodents. The SAI Micro Cannula is constructed of perfluorocarbon tubing, for chemical compatibility, and when connected to a pressure transducer, is perfect for measuring blood pressures for several hours per session. With proper care and maintenance, this catheter can be left in place and re-accessed multiple times.
