SYSTEM OVERVIEW
Mouse Ambulatory Infusion
The mouse ambulatory infusion system is a low cost alternative to the tethered system which requires no external connections or intervention by the researcher once the pump is implanted and connected. The osmotic pump can deliver fluid to almost any site when connected to the appropriate catheter. The internal osmotic pump can hold up to 2mls, deliver at rates of 0.25 to 10ul/hr and last from 1 to 28 days depending upon the pump. Dosing periods may be extended by performing a minor surgical procedure to replace the pump.
