SAI Micro Medical Grade Polyethylene:
Micro Medical Grade Polyethylene tubing has excellent chemical and gas resistance. It is flexible, yet rigid enough for easy implant into a vessel. Our PE tubing contains no plasticizers or additives and meets FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 and USP class 6 requirements.
SAI Medical Grade Polyurethane:
SAI's PU tubing is specially formulated for applications where intravascular thrombosis is a concern. It reduces blood platelet and other blood related deposits on the wall of the tubing. It is extremely blood compatible and its initial stiffness makes it easy to implant into a vessel but softens at body temperature. ETO sterilize only.
SAI Medical Teflon:
Teflon tubing has the lowest coefficient of friction of any polymer making the internal and external surface extremely smooth. This allows the tubing to be inserted into a vessel or a trachea very easily. It's natural lubricious properties make this tubing the perfect choice for gavages tubes or simple catheters. Teflon is extremely resistant to most all chemicals and has a broad temperature working range.
SAI Catheter Stainless Steel Connectors:
Stainless Steel connectors are designed to connect two pieces of catheter material together. They provide a secure friction fit for catheter materials such as polyurethane, silicone, polyethylene, Tygon or nylon catheters. Be certain to make sure when ordering that the outer diameter of the connector is at least 0.002" smaller than the inner diameter of the tubing. Softer materials such as silicone will require about a 0.004" difference. Sterilized connectors are individually packaged.
SAI PEEK Connectors:
For MRI or other applications where metal can not be used, PEEK connectors provide an alternative to the stainless steel connectors. PEEK is formulated from polyetheretherketone resins and is rigid enough to be used as a connector and also has great chemical resistance. These connectors have some flexibility but do not have the ability to bend like other plastics. For longer lengths please call. Sterilized connectors are individually packaged.
Access Technologies Silicone:
Medical grade silicone rubber, also known as Silastic has high biocompatibility, is relatively non-thrombogenicity, and resistant to chemicals and temperature. It is easily modified and can be autoclaved or ETO gas sterilized. Silicone is available cut to length (CNC) or in 25’ rolls (BC). A French dual-lumen catheter is available.
Access Technologies Polyethylene:
Flexible tubing, but rigid enough for applications using pressure. Contains no plasticizers/additives & show superior chemical resistance. Protects intimal lining of the vessel from the insertion and advancement damage from the rigid PE. Can apply a silicone tip to any size PE – the SilTip.
Access Technologies Polyurethane:
PU include high biocompatibility and relative non-thrombogenicity. Comparing similar French sizes, PU has greater ID than silicone. Initial stiffness makes it easier to insert & advance. Can have a variety of specialized coatings and can only be ETO gas sterilized. PU is available cut to length (CNC) or in 25’ rolls (BC).
Alzet Osmotic Pumps Polyethylene & Vinyl Tubing:
Medical grade PE and Vinyl tubing, the most common catheter types used in laboratory animal research, are available sterile, individually packaged and ready to use.
