The PORT-A-CATH access port is a FDA approved port that is used by many laboratories for dogs and primates. Designed to permit repeated access to the venous system for fluid delivery or for blood sampling. These are the highest quality human ports available at a price that is comparable to animal only ports.

Features of port:
  • Portal housing has a contoured shape and distinct rounded septum ring designed for ease of palpation and septum access
  • Low profile size to meet the need of smaller animals bodies
  • Secure Site septum is captured in titanium to provide high compression necessary for needle retention and stability
  • Needle-stop titanium reservoir floor creates positive tactile feedback when the accessing needle makes contact.
  • Titanium portal reservoir provides gouge resistance and long-term durability
  • Beveled suture holes designed for ease of suturing
Features of catheter:
  • PolyFlow PU catheter minimizes OD/ID ratio and maximizes flow rate
  • PolyFlow PU catheter is kink-resistant, biocompatible and radiopaque
  • Firm at room temp for easier advance-ment into the vein with silicone-like softness at body temp
  • Surface structure shown to be lower in platelet adhesion1
