Bard FDA approved implanted ports were developed to help provide reliable vascular access for researchers who require long-term access to the vascular system. Ports are totally implantable vascular access devices that are useful for blood sampling and permit the infusion of medications and IV solutions. Implanted ports are available in a variety of portal materials (titanium and plastic) and designs (arterial, peritoneal, single-lumen, dual-lumen, low profile and pre-connected or attachable catheter configurations). Implanted ports are available with either the silicone Groshong valved catheter, featuring the patented three-position valve, open-ended silicone catheter, or open-ended ChronoFlex PU catheter. Customized catheter options available. Tip: As an alternative to a port in rats use the Quick Connect Harness. Works like an exteriorized port, Quick intermittent access without the needle!! Note: Complete line of Bard products available, call for more information.
