Rodent Skin Buttons: are used for externalizing a catheter and/or for attaching a spring tether to the animal as an alternative to the harness or jacket. The polyethylene button is covered with a 1” Dacron patch for tissue ingrowth to provide a secure attachment. The polyethylene button center has an inner diameter of 0.123” which makes a perfect friction fit with a standard stainless steel spring tether with an OD of 0.124”. All SAI tethers fit this skin button.

Rodent Skin Buttons for use with auto samplers: With all the features of the standard Skin Button, the Skin button for Auto Samplers has a wire hook for attachment to an auto sampler arm. The animal’s catheter can exit the animal through the center of the button and be attached to the sampler. The auto samplers arm would connect to the wire hook to form a secure attachment.

Rodent Skin Button with luer attachment: With all the features as the standard Skin Button, the Skin button with a luer attachment allows for an external access port to the animals catheter. The animal’s catheter is passed through the Skin Button and attached to a luer fitting. The luer fitting allows for easy sampling or dosing via the animals catheter. This product comes as two pieces and and is easily assembled during surgery.
